Fourteen personnel of Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP-2) sustained injuries after a truck rammed their bus on Ara-Sasaram Road near Sikthi village under Sanjhauli police station area of Rohtas district on Tuesday, police said.

The bus carrying 15 personnel was travelling from Begusarai to its headquarters in Dehri when the speeding truck loaded with rice struck it from behind around 11 am. Of them, 10 injured personnel were admitted to Nokha CHC, they added.
Dr Ajay Pratap, medical officer-in-charge at the CHC, said that all injured were out of danger and are being treated. However, constable Nandani Kumari has been referred to sadar hospital, Sasaram, for advanced care due to a mouth injury.
Sanjhauli Station House Officer (SHO) Poonam Kumari said, “Preliminary investigations attribute the accident to the truck’s high speed and negligent driving. The truck has been seized, though the driver managed to flee the scene. Further legal action is underway.”
