The judgement was ordered by additional sessions judge VD Nimbalkar. No witness testified on behalf of the prosecution despite the passage of thirteen years while a few witnesses testified on oath that they were coerced by the policemen to lodge a complaint against the notorious gangster.

The case of land grabbing of property and other charges could not be proved leading to his acquittal.

Mohol was acquitted in the murder of bomb blast accused Qateel Siddiqui two years ago. Siddiqui was strangled to death despite being incarcerated in a high-security anda cell.

Mohol faces several cases being registered against him in various police stations of Pune city and rural areas, in connection with multiple crimes. Following his arrest, he was sent to Yerawada Jail, where he allegedly killed terror-accused Siddiqui.
