Pune: The Maharashtra school education department on Tuesday announced the schedule for a special admission round exclusively for girls under the Centralised Online Admission Process (CAP) for first-year junior college (FYJC) admissions for the 2026–27 academic year.
The round will allow fresh applicants as well as girls seeking corrections in their existing applications to register, edit details, fill in college preferences, and lock their applications on July 10 and July 11.
The allotment process will be conducted on July 12, while the college allotment list and cut-offs will be declared on July 13. Students will be able to confirm, reject, or cancel their allotted admission on July 13 and July 14.
The schedule for the next special admission round will be announced on July 14, and regular academic sessions will commence from July 15. The list of vacant seats after the special round will be published on July 16.
In the first special admission round, 484,865 students participated, and 392,693 students were allotted colleges on July 3. As of July 6, 295,004 students had confirmed their admissions, including 284,861 under the CAP quota and 10,143 under in-house, management, and minority quotas.
