MCCIA awards in Pune on January 5
Awards to recognise innovation, commercial application of new products and services, entrepreneurship, Defence Production by MSME units, Corporate Social Responsibility and Green Initiatives.
Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture instituted the Awards (MCCIA) to recognise innovation, commercial application of new products and services, entrepreneurship, Defence Production by MSME units, Corporate Social Responsibility and Green Initiatives. The awards will be distributed on January 5 at Balgandharva Rangamandir.
The GS Parkhe Industrial Merit Awards, the oldest among these have become an institution in itself with a legacy of 75 years. These awards have been instituted and contributed by different trusts and are being administered under the banner of the MCCIA Annual Awards.
The applications received by MCCIA were scrutinised and award winners were selected by panels of jury members set up for the respective awards.
75,000 native trees donated to mark 75th Independence Day
To mark India’s 75th Independence Day celebrations, The Eco Factory Foundation (TEFF), a part of a non-profit organization has pledged to donate 75,000 native trees. TEFF has grown 37 varieties of Indian native tree saplings which were donated to corporates, schools, colleges and citizen groups to conserve biodiversity and convert barren land to fertile. The initiative started on August 15 last year and was completed by November 2022.
The foundation has also undertaken plant distribution and plantation drives at multiple locations and institutions and private farms willing to plant them. The foundation has four fundamental focus areas - Rural, Urban, Industrial and Individual sustainability with a mission.
