The accused, identified as Vijendra Rajendra Chandeliya, 31, a resident of Jay Jawan nagar in Yerawada allegedly sold some company hardware to customers in a personal capacity and pocketed the money while he was working at the company, said officials.

The decision was taken by judicial magistrate first class SV Nimse with public prosecutor VC Muralikar with assistant police inspector SD Pawar who is investigating the case.

A complaint in the matter was lodged by Amit Lakshmipati Bura, 44, a resident of Ahmednagar. The complainant claimed that the man who worked as a store manager and a salesman. He sold television sets, air conditioners, and soundbars collectively worth 23,32,917 but never reported the money earned from the sale, according to the police.

The case was registered under Section 420 and 408 of Indian Penal Code at Chatuhshrungi police station.
