Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on June 8 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BVG India Ltd. to launch a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Facility and Services Management (FSM) at the Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA) from the 2026–27 academic year.

Introduced as an Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP), the course combines classroom learning with industry exposure. Students will complete two to four semesters of mandatory paid internships, earning stipends while gaining hands-on experience.
BVG India, the industry partner, will provide training and mentorship through its facility management and support service operations. Students will gain exposure to facility management, mechanised cleaning systems, support services and smart city infrastructure management.
The curriculum covers service operations, workplace strategy, asset management and hospitality logistics. University officials said the programme is designed to align academic training with industry needs and improve employability.
SPPU officials said the initiative reflects the university’s focus on industry-academia collaboration and career-oriented education, while creating new employment opportunities for students.
