A tyre burst caused a collision between a cruiser vehicle and a truck on the Pune–Solapur Highway near Indapur on Tuesday morning, resulting in the deaths of three persons, police said.

The complainant and the truck driver, Apparao Raghunath Lokhande, 37, from Solapur district, stated that the accident occurred around 8.30 am near Rajmudra Hotel at Loni Devkar on the highway.
As per the complaint, a white cruiser vehicle, driven by accused Pramod Balu Khawale of Madanwadi in Indapur, was travelling from Indapur towards Pune when it allegedly suffered a tyre burst. The driver lost control, veered into the wrong lane, and crashed head-on into the truck coming from the opposite direction.
The impact of the collision resulted in the death of Pramod and his two co-passengers—Vijaysingh Kamal Singh Rajput of Ratlam and Shashank Umesh Kotiya of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.
