The PMC had announced a citywide water closure on Thursday, which affected supply on Friday as well. Several areas reported running out of water. Resident Sarla Kudale from Teen Hatti Chowk said, “We faced a severe water crisis. Our housing society had announced there would be no water on Thursday, so we were somewhat prepared. But we were suddenly informed via our society group that the corporation water hadn’t arrived, and our tanks were dry. We had to purchase water from outside.”
Another resident, Satish Kulkarni, expressed frustration with the administration. “If maintenance is necessary, it should be done in phases. It’s obvious that shutting off water for the entire city would create distribution problems the next day.”
