An unidentified person robbed a 67-year-old woman of her gold chain worth around ₹4 lakh at lane number 6 near Angel Apartments in Kalyaninagar at around 7.45 pm on Friday, said police officials on Saturday.

According to the Yerawada police, the accused reportedly pushed the elderly woman from behind, as she alighted from an autorickshaw and was paying her fare, snatched the gold chain from her neck, and fled on a motorcycle.
“We have registered a case and are examining footage of CCTV cameras in the locality,” said a police officer.
Yerawada Police Station has filed a case under Sections 309(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
