As per the agreement reached late on Saturday, the management paid ₹30 lakh each as compensation and ₹1 lakh each towards cremation and last-rites expenses, Labour Superintendent Ramgarh Anil Kumar Ranjan said.
It was signed in the presence of Labour Enforcement Officer Chandan Kumar Das, local leaders and villagers.
The families have also demanded a job for one dependent of each deceased, adequate compensation and a high-level probe into the incident.
The bodies of the engineers were subsequently sent for post-mortem, police said.
