BEAUTY! Bowls from a wider angle. Full and bounces off the track, straightening up a bit as well. Suryakumar Yadav tries to drive it down the ground on the up, but plays for the initial line and gets beaten past the outside edge by a kitten-whisker.

OUT! TAKEN! Ellis breaks the opening stand and again the change of pace has done the trick for him. Gutsy stuff from Nathan Ellis, actually. Bowls a fuller one, taking all the pace off from the ball, and hurls it around the off pole. Sharma does not quite read the pace off and tries to smash it downtown, but gets off the toe end. The ball goes flat towards Tim David stationed at mid off. He loses his balance while gathering the ball, but maintains possession nicely. Abhishek Sharma departs after a brisk 19 (14) and India are 35/1.

FOUR! No messing around! Full from Nathan, on the stumps. Shubman Gill plays with a vertically angled bat and drills it straight down the ground for a boundary.

Review retained, but Gill survives! Ellis delivers a fractionally full ball, keeping it stump-to-stump. Shubman Gill walks a couple of steps forward and tries to flick it to the leg side, but misses and wears it on the front pad. There is a huge appeal for LBW, but the umpire is unmoved.
