4:14 PM IST Rohit Sharma is the Man of the Match. He says that he wanted to be on the field as much as he could and that this hundred was a special one. He adds that after being down and out in the first innings and then going on to post 466 was an amazing collective batting effort. He says that it's his first away hundred and it's his best one yet and commends all the other players. He says that the bowlers did the job and the whole team is pumped right now. Also adds that he doesn't care much about big scores and is happy to score runs as required by his team. He also adds that batting in these conditions, specially at the top of the order is not easy and recollects the training at Durham. He says that the training helped them a lot after the WTC final and the results could be seen in this series. He ends by saying that he feels fit and it's just about what the physio says.

4:07 PM IST The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli says that he thinks the best thing about both the wins was how the team showed character. Mentions that they put up a good total on the board and it was going to be tough to chase. Adds that the bowlers were exceptional and it would rate this performance amongst his top 3. Tells that the bowlers exploited reverse-swing conditions perfectly today and they believed as a team that they could get 10 wickets today. Mentions that Bumrah was just outstanding. Informs that to give away 27 runs from 22 overs speaks volumes. Goes onto say that if England will give a chance to them, India will take it with both hands. Credits Shardul Thakur and says that his first innings made the difference and his fifty in the second innings was noteworthy as well. States that they focus on their job and do not look over stats and don't bother with the noise that comes from outside and they try to perform as a group. Tells that this win gives the team more motivation to go out and win the final Test as well. Says that the fans have been amazing as well.

4:04 PM IST The England skipper, Joe Root says, that when they came out to bat today, the match was there for the taking but they couldn't capitalize on the start. He then credits the opposition bowlers and mentions that they showed real skill. He also goes on to say that the bowling was world-class and they will want to improve on how to counter it. He adds that there will be swing at Old Trafford as well. He mentions that they need to be more ruthless and clinical and is disappointed with how the lead was turned against them. Mentions that they need big partnerships and not settle for starts and collectively need to put in a better batting performance. About the slip catching, he says that the players do practice a lot and it's just about being brave and taking the chances. He also adds that yes, they have had injuries but that cannot be an excuse and they need one big push in the final Test to level the series.

3:55 PM IST ... THE PRESENTATION CEREMONY ...

3:51 PM IST England were in the ascendancy in the first innings. They had a nice lead of 99 runs but that's all it was. The lead was soon turned to dust and the hosts were out of sorts with the ball in the second innings. They did not get any movement and the visitors took advantage of a flat pitch. 368 runs still looked a good score to chase on a flat pitch and England started off well. The openers negated Day 4 and then continued to merry their way to put a 100-run stand. It was still fine when Malan got out but after that they had a collapse and lost four wickets for just six runs. Root tried to hold fort but there's only so much one man can do. Wickets kept tumbling and Root also departed. England crumbled under pressure and weren't able to show much resistance. They went on to suffer a heavy defeat in the end.

3:49 PM IST What a turnaround it has been from India. Who would have thought that after being bowled for 191 runs in the first innings, the visitors would go on to win by 157 runs? The batters, Rohit Sharma in particular destroyed the English attack in the second innings but was very well supported by Pant, Thakur and some handy contributions from the tail, which put India in the driving seat. The bowlers toiled hard late on Day 4 but couldn't get a single breakthrough. That however, changed on Day 5 and Shardul Thakur provided an early wicket to set the tone for the rest of the day. From then on, Bumrah and Jadeja were brilliant and after Lunch, they made short work of the hosts and all together the visitors picked up six wickets in that session. Umesh Yadav had a brilliant burst in the end with the second new ball to clean up the England tail.

2:48 PM IST What a sensational phase of play for India. Jadeja started well and got Hameed very early after the break off the rough. Bumrah then showed his class and dismantled Bairstow and Pope and got to his 100th Test wicket in the process. Jadeja removed Ali as well for a duck and then Shardul Thakur again got the breakthrough removing the dangerous Joe Root. 2:46 PM IST England started the session with intent, Root reverse-sweeping off the first ball of the session for four but all that changed pretty quickly as Hameed was the first one to depart. England then fell like a pack of cards as they lost Bairstow, Pope and Ali pretty quickly. Only Root managed to stay solid and England would have banked on him to stay for long but that didn't happen as well. England need another 175 runs but that is way out of their reach and only have 2 wickets in the tank.

2:45 PM IST India bossed this session completely! The bowlers managed to scalp six wickets to put England on the back foot and are on the verge of a victory. England will have their heads down and will be pretty disappointed with how they played post Lunch.

They bowled a lot fuller and straighter but the batters did well to combat that. It was then Shardul Thakur, who scalped the first wicket in his first over itself to make early inroads. India had Malan too later and could have had Hameed earlier but was put down by Siraj on 55. India need 8 wickets and England need 237 more. It won't be easy particularly with Ravindra Jadeja bowling in that rough patch but the pitch is still good to bat on and England would love to take it to their advantage. What will happen? 12:12 PM IST Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed were pretty solid at the start. Burns brought up his half century as well but got out right away after that. Hameed continued to stay solid as he went past his fifty while Malan did well to hang around despite Jadeja causing some problems to the left-hander but lost his wicket in a run out as there was a mix-up between him and Hameed. England would now hope that Joe Root and Haseeb Hameed continue to bat as long as they can.

5:51 PM IST There is nothing for the bowlers and Indian bowlers were made to work hard. Umesh Yadav bowled decently in his opening spell while Bumrah too showed why he is one of the best but to no reward. India bought in Jadeja quickly so that he could bowl in the rough and trouble the batsmen but he found it tough going too. Mohammed Siraj troubled Haseeb Hameed a little but he survived.

5:51 PM IST England started off really well, with both Burns and Hameed looking in very good touch. They played with caution and played some lovely shots in the middle. Burns has looked solid while Hameed too has looked really solid. He faced some close shaves but he has managed to survive and England have done really well to stay unbeaten on Day 4.

5:47 PM IST Gary Pratt, Gary Pratt, howzzat? This is for all cricketing fans. How many of you remember Gary Pratt? He never played a game for England but is remembered fondly by many fans of the Ashes and England. Of course, bitterly by Australia as well. The then Aussie captain, Ricky Ponting, had raised the usage of substitutes on the cricketing field and got angered and irritated when Pratt fired a throw from cover to catch Ponting short at the bowler's end, during the 2005 Ashes. Something similar could have happened here. Full, around off, Rory Burns came forward and then went back to play it to the leg side. Now, as is the flow of momentum, Burns went out of the crease and at that very moment, Suryakumar Yadav, the substitute, standing at short leg, stopped the ball to his left. He immediately transferred the ball to his right hand and fired a throw at the striker's end. He missed and every Indian player on the field had his hands over his head. Was Burns caught napping? He does get two overthrows as the ball goes to fine leg. No sir. Replays show that even if Yadav had hit the stumps, Burns would have been home. Surya reacted swiftly but so did Burns as he did not commit the cardinal sin of committing way too much into the run. So he was able to stop and turn back and get his bat back in the crease, before the ball could hit the stumps. Fantastic cricket at the end of the day, giving us more drama!

Siraj appealed for LBW but it was not given. Now, Siraj was confident as usual and looked at his skipper for the review. His captain turned towards his slip cordon. He asked Pant, Suryakumar Yadav, Rahane and even Rahul. None of them looked even remotely confident and Surya even shook his head. 'AAGE AAKE KHELA WOH?' asked Kohli. Meaning, 'Did he lunge and play?' Kohli was seemingly indicating that because of that lunge, the ball might have hit him low on the pads. Contrary to everyone's suggestions, Kohli went for the review, purely on his gut instinct. However, Ball Tracker showed the ball to be going over the leg stump. Cannot blame Kohli totally here, one could imagine that lunge from Hameed might have tempted him to think that the ball will hit the wickets. Review lost by India.
