FOUR! Uh, oh! A teaser for the fielder in the deep and he'll be disappointed to have not stopped that, especially after putting in the hard yards. Full again, straighter in line, Gill clips it sweetly and through mid-wicket. The deep square leg fielder runs the length of the ropes to his left and slides in but fails to palm the ball back in.

Pitched fuller on off, at 133.5 kph, Gill solidly defends it off the front foot.

OUT! CHOPPED ON! Fernando replies with a peach of a delivery and gives a bit of send-off to Jaiswal who hurls a few words at the bowler as he trudges off. Asitha bowls from around the stumps. Fuller than a length, around off. It lands and nips back in very sharply and also stays a tad low on the bounce. Yashasvi Jaiswal is caught on the crease, tries to punch it through the covers, but gets a thick inside edge that crashes into the stumps behind him. A fluent knock ends just as he was closing in on a well-deserved half-century, and India slip to 66/2.

FOUR! These are easy pickings for Jaiswal! Very short, into the body. Yashasvi Jaiswal swivels on the back foot, rolls his wrists to control the pull shot and hammers it to deep backward square leg for a cracking boundary.

FOUR! In control! Bangs it short and outside the off stump. Yashasvi Jaiswal uses the pace of the ball and effortlessly ramps it over slip cordon for a boundary. Into the 40s goes Jaiswal now. 10th boundary of the game and 9th for Jaiswal alone.

Prabath Jayasuriya sprints after it from mid on but the ball has enough wheels to speed to the fence. Jaiswal is looking really confident out there as he moves to 37.

FOUR! Excellent effort from the debutant, Mishara, but goes in vain. 50 UP FOR INDIA! Slightly short and on off, Yashasvi Jaiswal has ample time to go back and he whips it across towards deep mid-wicket. Kamil Mishara covers a lot of ground, almost running a mile to his right from deep square leg and throws himself to dive and tries to flick the ball back in. He gets a hand to it, but it squirms free and trickles on, and though he scrambles for a second attempt, it just creeps over the rope for four.

Padikkal goes back and looks to cut, only for the ball to catch the outside edge and shoot towards Dhananjaya de Silva's left, who is caught late reacting to it. It bursts through his palms and rolls behind to the deep for a single. Padikkal gets another slice of luck. First being dropped on naught by Sonal Dinusha, and then on 1 now by DDS.

OUT! EDGED AND GONE! That is a shot KL Rahul will not be proud of, as he throws his wicket away here. Lahiru Kumara hits the deck hard and well outside off, not threatening at all. Rahul sees it as a scoring opportunity and slashes hard, but the length isn't that short for the shot. He only manages to get a thin outside edge behind, where Niroshan Dickwella takes an easy catch to his right. India are 37/1 now as Kumara shows a bit of aggression in his celebration.

Good umpiring! This is bowled from a wider angle. Full and nipping back in on the leg stump line. KL Rahul plays the initial line with a straight bat, looking to push it down the ground, but misses and is struck hard on the front pad. A vociferous appeal for LBW goes around from the Lankans, with Kumara even wandering over toward the slip cordon to press his case, but Ahsan Raza, the umpire stays unmoved. Niroshan Dickwella and Asitha Fernando convince their skipper to take the review. Daylight between bat and ball on the UltraEdge and the Ball Tracking confirms that it is projected to miss the leg stump by a fair margin. Sri Lanka lose the review.

FOUR! Absolutely classic! Pitched fuller by Asitha, wide outside off and shaping away. KL Rahul takes a big stride in, leans completely onto the ball and just creams it through covers for a marvelous boundary. Perfect weight transfer, meeting right under the eyes and right off the middle.

At 130.2 kph, on that bail-trimming length, KL Rahul hops back and punches it to the cover fielder.

Right on the money! Shapes back in from over the stumps, a perfect yorker from Asitha. But Jaiswal does well to jam the bat down and squeeze it out on the off side. There's half an appeal for LBW, but it wanes down immediately as the umpire shakes his head.
