Steven Smith and David Warner all set to return to club cricket action in Australia. The duo is currently serving a one-year ban from international cricket, due to their involvement in the ball tampering incident in South Africa earlier this year, given to them by Cricket Australia.
The duo will feature for their respective clubs on September 22. Former captain Smith will turn out for Sutherland against Mosman at Glenn McGrath Oval in Caringbah, while Warner’s Randwick-Petersham will face St George at Coogee Oval.
The availability of the duo is yet to be confirmed but they are expected to play a good chunk of the season, according to a report on cricket.com.au.
David Warner is currently playing in the Caribbean Premier League for St. Lucia Stars while Smith has already contributed to Barbados Trident’s victory over the Guyana Amazon Warriors with a knock of 41.
