India continue winning run in T20 World Cup for blind, beat Sri Lanka by nine wickets

India beat Sri Lanka as Prakash J. scored a match winning knock of 99 in a 187-run chase at the T20 World Cup.

India continued their winning streak by defeating Sri Lanka by nine wickets in the T20 World Cup for Blind at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Put in to bat by India, Sri Lanka rode on Chandana Deshapriya’s 62 and Pathum Saman Kumara’s 30 to score 186 for eight in their allotted 20 overs.

In reply, Prakash J. put on a brilliant unbeaten 99 that included 20 hits to the fence, to steer the home team to victory in just 13.3 overs.

Besides Prakash, Ketan Patel also chipped in with a crucial 56 not out to help India post a comfortable win.

For Sri Lanka, Dinesh Nihara Mathugama took the lone Indian wicket.
