India vs PM XI Highlights Warm-up Day 2: Ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy's second Test match, India defeated Australia Prime Minister XI in their two-day practice match, in Canberra. Chasing a target of 242 runs, India reached 257/5 in a 46-over match. Rohit Sharma replaced Virat Kohli in the batting order, and batted at No. 4, but was disappointing, managing only three off 11 balls. Initially, Sam Konstas (107) got a ton as the Australian Prime Minister's XI posted 240 in 43.2 overs. Meanwhile, Hanno Jacobs (61) also got a half-century. For India's bowling department, Harshit Rana took a four-wicket haul.
Speaking after the match, India captain Rohit said, “It was fantastic. We got what we wanted as a group. Little unlucky we could not get the whole game. Whatever time we got, we tried to make the most of it and we got whatever (out of what) we had in front of us. Absolutely fantastic (to see the crowd). We love to come to Australia and we love to see them come out and support us. Never been a time when they have come here and not turned up. Really nice to see people coming in and supporting us.”
