Indian women’s cricket team beat South Africa women by nine wickets in the second match of the five-match South Africa (CSA) Women’s T20 series on Friday. India, chasing the South African total of 142/7 in 20 overs, coasted to victory (144/1 in 19.1 overs) thanks to half centuries from Smriti Mandhana (57) and Mithali Raj (76 n.o) at Buffalo Park in East London. Earlier, Anuja Patil and Poonam Yadav took two wickets each to help India restrict South Africa to what turned out to be a below-par score. Sune Luus top-scored for SA. India have taken a 2-0 lead in the series with the victory. In the opening match of the series, Mithali Raj scored an unbeaten 54 runs off 48 deliveries to lead the visitors to a seven-wicket victory over South Africa at Senwes Park on Tuesday.
