New Zealand Vs Australia Highlights: AUSTRALIA ARE THE NEW T20 WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS! Courtesy of David Warner's 53 and Mitchell Marsh's 77 not-out, the Aussies chase down the target of 173 in 18.5 overs to bag their maiden world title in the shortest format. In response, the Black Caps drew first blood as Trent Boult dismissed Aaron Finch in the 3rd over. However, that did not deter Mitchell Marsh from taking on Adam Milne in his first over, smashing him for two fours and a six. Along with Warner, he took Australia to 43/1 after the first 6 overs. The duo continued in the same vein and went on to stitch another 50-run stand. They handed Australia the command of the chase by taking the side to 82/1 after 10 overs. Warner got to his 50 before being cleaned up by Trent Boult on 53. Soon after, Marsh smashed a 50 off 31 balls, fastest in a T20 WC final, to take Australia to 136/2 in 15 overs. He stitched an unbeaten 67-run stand for the 3 wicket with Glenn Maxwell to take the side home with 1.1 overs to spare. In the first innings, New Zealand set Australia a target of 173 in 20 overs to win the T20 World Cup final. Martin Guptill and Daryl Mitchell struck some early boundaries to power the Black Caps to 23/0 after 3 overs. Off Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Wade dropped Guptill. In the next over, Josh Hazlewood removed Mitchell as NZ then stuttered to 37/1 after 7 overs. Then Kane Williamson hit a few boundaries to help New Zealand reach 57/1 after 10 overs. In 31 balls, he brought up his 50 to take New Zealand to 102/2 after 14 overs. Williamson smashed Mitchell Starc for 22 runs in an over to take NZ to 117/2 after 17 overs. His onslaught ended on 85 off 48 balls as Hazlewood scalped the big finish after getting rid of Glenn Phillips in the same over. Tim Seifer and Jimmy Neesham guided NZ to 172/4 in 20 overs.

OUT! HAZLEWOOD STRIKES, MITCHELL PERISHES
OUT! Hazlewood outfoxes Mitchell with a slower ball and gets his reward as the batter nicks it to Wade. He just ran his fingers with the cross-seamed delivery. Mitchell tried to open the field on the off side but since he was outfoxed, he ended up edging it without any feet movement

EMPTY STADIUM
Barely any crowd in the stadium today. ICC's fears of a low turnout, due to a sub-continent team missing from the final have come true.

Pitch Report: NZ fans, you can breathe a little easy
"The pitch looks a little bit dry. At the start of the tournament there was a bit of moisture. There is no grass and is pretty dry. The middle overs are going to be crucial for either team. It might be a little bit two-paced and it thus could be an advantage to bat first because of that."

NZ vs AUS T20 Final Live Score: Trent Boult speaks before the match
“It's what we have come here to achieve and we're looking forward to taking on the Australians. It has been a good year and a good tournament for us. I wouldn't say it has swung a heck of a lot but the new ball is important for our side. The golden rule is that you pick wickets in the powerplay. But having said that, we need to adjust to the conditions and the pitch. Conway missing out is a huge loss and understandably there is no one who is more gutted than he is. He has been a huge part of the BlackCaps side. The positive is that it gives someone else the opportunity to step up in his place. We have 15 guys who can do the job.”

NZ vs AUS T20 Final Live Score: Williamson at the toss
"We would have fielded as well. It looks like a reasonable wicket and who knows about the dew. Just trying to get a competitive total. We have one obvious change: Conway is out and Seifert is in. It is a shame that he misses but as a team we have to move on and focus on the challenge at hand. Mitch Santner is a world-class operator and it didn't quite work out in the match the other night. We don't want to look too far ahead and we just need to make a few small adjustments."
T20 World Cup 2021 Final New Zealand vs Australia Live: Finch, US captain, at the toss
"We'll have a bowl. Looks a little bit dry but I don't think it will change. It might skid with the new ball. We're playing the same team. The way we hung in the contest and take it deep was crucial for us. Zampas has been superb for a while in the shortest format, and hopefully that will continue. It is a new format, a new team and our record over NZ doesn't matter at all."
