Islamabad High Court judge Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui suspended Sethi for not complying with his earlier order to hold new election for chairman by Oct. 18.

The judge also asked retired judge Munir A Sheikh to conduct a fresh election by the third week of November.

But within hours, a two-member appeals bench in the IHC issued a stay order against Aziz's decision until November 4 on an application already filed by the PCB.

Sethi wrote on Twitter: "Isbd High Court Two Member Bench has granted STAY against Single Bench Orders. I remain Chairman PCB. Sorry to disappoint pithus/ trolls!"
