PAK vs BAN 2nd ODI Highlights: All-rounder Maaz Sadaqat starred with both bat and ball as Pakistan registered a dominant win over Bangladesh to level the series. He first struck a brisk 75 at the top of the order before returning with the ball to claim three wickets and cap off an impressive all-round performance. The hosts lost both openers Saif Hassan (12) and Tanzid Hasan Tamim (1) early. Mohammad Wasim removed Saif and Shaheen Afridi got Tamim's wicket. Shaheen struck again to remove no. 3 batter Najmul Hossain Shanto for a two-ball duck. Earlier, an all-round display saw Bangladesh bowl out Pakistan for 274 in 47.3 overs on Friday. Mehidy Hasan Miraz struck in the 13th over, removing Pakistan opener Maaz Sadaqat for 75 off 46 balls. The wicket came at a crucial time as Sadaqat was nearing his century and was also building a growing opening partnership with Sahibzada Farhan. Meanwhile, Farhan failed to build any momentum after Sadaqat's dismissal, departing for 31 off 46 balls. Meanwhile, Nahid Rana removed Shamyl Hussain (6). Salman Agha (64) and Mohammad Rizwan (44) did rebuild the momentum, but after their dismissals, none of the Pakistan batters managed to contribute. Rishad Hossain ended the first innings with three wickets.

In response, the bowling led by skipper Shaheen Afridi had a massive uphill climb, and was never in the picture: the same pitch that looked like a minefield in the first innings was hardly brought into play as Bangladesh coasted to a win. A strong first result for Mehidy Hasan Miraz's team, which has plenty of quality up and down th elineup to cause damage, and has a point to prove themselves after failing to play at the T20 World Cup against the players' own wishes.

In the second ODI, Bangladesh have the opportunity to wrap up a quick series win against out-of-sorts Pakistan. It should be more of the same in Mirpur, with a lively pitch and plenty for the bowlers – with a little bit of weather in the air as well.
