Ricky Ponting and Shane Watson have been recalled to Australia's limited-overs setup for three one-day internationals against Sri Lanka next month ahead of the Ashes Test series against England.
Ponting and Watson were rested from the Australia squad for the recent rain-reduced ODI series in India, where Michael Clarke deputized as captain for Ponting in the 1-0 defeat. Australian selectors announced the 15-man ODI squad Tuesday, a day after unveiling a 12-man team for Australia's first international match of the 2010-11 season: A Twenty20 international against Sri Lanka in Perth this weekend.
Three-time defending champion Australia is using the Sri Lanka series as part of preparations for the 2011 World Cup.
