In the third day of the tournament, Haryana thrashed Uttarakhand while Uttar Pradesh beat Delhi. Both Haryana and UP have entered the national qualifiers.

Haryana scored 539 runs without any loss of wicket in 40 overs. Chasing the mammoth score, Uttarakhand was bowled out for a mere 154 runs. Haryana’s Deepak Malik - also an international blind cricketer - scored 364 runs while Sikendar Shah managed 109 runs.

Uttarakhand won the toss and decided to bowl first but it misread the prowess of Haryana’s batting line.

In the other match, UP won the toss and invited Delhi to bat. Delhi scored 264 runs in 40 overs. UP reached the target in 28 overs and won by seven wickets. In the last match, J&K made 367 runs and won by five wickets against Punjab which scored 294 runs.

Earlier in the day, BJP legislator Munna Singh Chauhan emphasised on the need of having technology-enabled services for the disabled. “Technology is the key and we need to work more towards developing new tools for the disabled,” Chauhan said.

Uttarakhand Science Education & Research Centre (USERC) is the local partner of the cricket tournament.
