Delhi blast toll climbs to 13: police

The death toll from Wednesday's bomb blast at New Delhi's High Court has risen to 13 after a man died of his injuries in hospital, police said.

The death toll from Wednesday's bomb blast at New Delhi's High Court has risen to 13 after a man died of his injuries in hospital, police said.

The 58-year-old died late Thursday from wounds sustained when a powerful blast ripped through a crowd queuing to enter the court complex, Delhi Police spokesman Rajan Bhagat said on Friday.



Four more people are reportedly in a critical condition.

Investigators are following up purported claims of responsibility for the bombing from two separate militant groups: the Pakistan-based Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami and a home-grown outfit, Indian Mujahideen.



Neither claim has been confirmed by police as genuine.
