More trouble for DPS Indirapuram, govt threatens legal action

In a missive to the Uttar Pradesh government, the school alleged Singh cancelled its no objection certificate (NOC) on false and baseless grounds.

The NOC is a must for any institution to retain affiliation to an education board.

The school’s NOC was cancelled on December 29 on the ground that it failed to produce documents pertaining to the agreement between Saket Education Society and DPS Society enabling the former to use the DPS logo and motto for the Indirapuram school. Saket Education Society runs the school.

Singh, however, wrote in his reply to the missive: “The school authorities have never bothered to respond to our requests pertaining to the production of relevant documents... the school is now developing false grounds to defend itself in light of the certificate being withdrawn.” He has asked the institution to reply within a week or face legal action.

“The agreement documents are required for the high court proceedings of the case regarding an ongoing dispute over management and admission between Saket Education Society and DPS Society,” he added.

“We had little knowledge the... school is run by Saket Education Society. In every communication we were told that school is running ‘under aegis of Delhi Public School Society (DPSS) New Delhi’,” a parent said.
