CBSE 12th Board results 2019: Jharkhand performs better than Bihar
While 83.75% students from Jharkhand passed the examination, merely 61.58% students from Bihar cleared them.
Jharkhand has performed better than Bihar in this year’s CBSE Class XII examinations, the results of which were declared on Thursday.

A total of 93,115 examinees had appeared for the examinations from Bihar and Jharkhand. Of the total students, 65,147 students passed. Girls have clearly outshone boys in the overall results. The overall pass percentage stood at 69.96%, with 76.08% of girls succeeding as against 61.57% of boys clearing the examinations.
A total of 35,208 students had appeared from Jharkhand, of which 29,487 passed.
Ranchi’s CBSE co-ordinator Manohar Lal said that around 10,000 students had appeared from 40 schools across Ranchi. Around 20,000 examinees had appeared from Dhanbad and Bokaro.
In the battle for grabbing the top ranks in the four major cities of the state, Akshat Agarwal from DAV Public School Canary Hill, Hazaribag, became the state topper with 98% marks in aggregate in the Science stream. He obtained 490 marks out of 500.
In the Commerce stream, Bokaro boy Tanish Bansal from Holy Cross School, Balidih, clinched the state’s top slot with 97.8% marks in aggregate. Ranchi girl Shrishti Surabhi, from JVM Shyamli, won Ranchi’s top slot in the Arts stream with 96.8% marks in aggregate.
Ridhi Singh, from Delhi Public School, became the Dhanbad topper with 97.6% marks in aggregate in the Science stream. Jarubi Akansha from JVM Shyamli became the Ranchi topper in Science with 97.6% marks in aggregate.
In Jamshedpur, DAV Public School Bistupur students proved their excellence, occupying top positions in the Science and Commerce streams in the city. Harshit Agarwal and Abhikhya Tripathy of the school are joint toppers in Science with 97%, while Subhra Anand of the school topped the Commerce stream with 95.8% marks.
The principal of Guru Nanak Public School, Ranchi, said that Jharkhand’s results were better this year than the previous year. The surprise factor in the results was that Jharkhand performed better than Bihar.
