Delhi boy gets Rs 1.25-crore job offer from Google

Chetan Kakkar will join the California office of the search engine giant after completing his course in 2016.

A final year student of Delhi Technical University has bagged a package of $1,90,000 (Rs 1.25 crore approximately) per annum from Google, reports said.

Chetan Kakkar, who is an alumnus of Springdales in Pusa Road, is a final year student of information technology at the DTU and has reportedly been offered the highest package in the history of the university. The highest offer made so far in DTU campus was Rs 93 lakh.

“This was what I had been striving so far and I am excited to join Google,” Kakkar told Times of India.

He will join the California office of the search engine giant after completing his course in 2016.

The 22-year-old’s mother, Rita Kakkar, teaches at the chemistry department of Delhi University and his father Subhash Kakkar is a teacher of management studies.
