Several pages of the question paper were available on WhatsApp hours before the exam was to be held on Friday. The paper was to begin at 2 pm but question paper was available on whatsapp since 8:30 in the morning. Nearly one lakh students were supposed to take the examination.
“It was exactly the same. To ensure the sanctity of the examination, it was decided to cancel the paper. The fresh dates will be announced shortly,” director of the department OP Verma said.
A police complaint was lodged in this connection, Verma added.
Secretary of the department SK Singh has asked officials, teachers and administrative staff engaged in conducting the examination to video graph the process right from opening of question paper seal to depositing the answer sheet at the collection point.

“We will have to wait for the new dates. This will also delay our annual results,” a student, who did not wish to be identified, said.
