PM Modi pens book ‘exam warriors’, to address students on how to deal with stress on Feb 16

The prime minister will reach out to an estimated 10 crore students through video-conferencing.

With the board examinations round the corner, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the students of the country on February 16 with a set of advice for them on how to deal with examination blues.

Modi has written a book on this topic which will be released on February 3.

A senior official in the ministry of human resource development (HRD) said the public address will be organised at Talkatora Stadium where over 3,500 students from across the country will participate. But the PM would intend to reach out to the estimated 10 crore students in the country through video-conferencing and also respond to some pre-recorded questions, the ministry official added.

“Students are also likely to be allowed to ask questions (at the event). The questions will be recorded beforehand and will be played at the stadium. Students will be able to send their questions through a website which will become operational soon,” said the official.

A total of 28.24 lakh students have registered for the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations. The Class 10 examinations have once again been made mandatory, seven years after the HRD ministry ruled it optional.

Modi has, in the past too, dwelt on the subject of examination-related stress, which has often seen tragic results with students committing suicide. The PM has suggested students to treat examination “like a festival”. He has also reached out to students through his monthly ‘Mann ki Baat’ radio programme and by addressing them on the Teacher’s Day.
