Schools fared better this year in terms of pass percentage, with 968 schools in Mumbai division that includes Thane and Raigad districts, with 100% results in SSC exams. Last year, 801 schools had all students passing the exam.
While principals unanimously claim this has been a combined effort, some schools have walked a few extra miles. Father Jude Fernandes, the principal of St Stanislaus High School, Bandra, said, “Getting an overall 100% result in SSC is encouraging. We worked harder on our students this year and it has paid off.”
He said the school made a score-sheet of students, whose results were not up to the mark after the preliminary exams, and conducted special classes for them every day after school hours.
Schools with more than 500 students where all SSC students passed include Swami Vivekanand International School (Gorai and Kandivli), Bhavan's AH Wadia High School in Andheri, Shreerang Education Society School in Thane, Indian Education Society's Sule Guruji School in Dadar, and Vivekenanda Education Society (VES) School in Chembur.
The Alexandra Girls English Institution in Fort, Young Ladies High School in Fort and Little Flower High School in Thane, which had smaller batches of students appearing for exams, secured 100% results.

{{/usCountry}}Nilambal SS Iyer, the principal of People’s Welfare Society’s High School, Sion, said the school focused more on revisions three months before the exams on parents’ insistence. “Parents suggested to us that we concentrate on revisions before the exams to ensure that the entire batch scores well,” said Iyer.
Shishu Vidyalaya High School in Nalasopara is the only school that saw 0% results; two of its students that appeared for the exam failed to clear it.
