Byatarayanapura is one of the 224 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Bangalore district. People of Byatarayanapura voted for Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 on May 10 and the result was declared on May 13.
Byatarayanapura assembly constituency had 4,19,587 electors in 2018, out of which 2,19,775 were male voters and 1,99,733 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.5% votes.
In the 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election, there were 19 candidates in the fray from Byatarayanapura constituency. Byatarayanapura was one of 80 seats won by the Indian National Congress. It was a close contest with Indian National Congress's Krishna Byregowda winning the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's A Ravi by a margin of just 5,671 votes.
The top two candidates split 89.1% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Krishna Byregowda got a total of 1,14,964 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's A Ravi secured 1,09,293 votes. Janata Dal (Secular)'s candidate Chandra T G secured 22,490 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 45.7%, 43.4% and 8.9% respectively.
In Karnataka Assembly election 2013, Indian National Congress's Krishna Byre Gowda defeated Bharatiya Janata Party's A.Ravi by 32,400 votes.
