Uttar Pradesh Election: Mahoba Assembly Constituency 2022

Mahoba comes under the Mahoba district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Mahoba voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.

In 2017, the Mahoba assembly seat had 2,98,831 registered voters. Of the, 1,64,000 were male and 1,34,831 were female voters. 0.9% of votes were casted for NOTA.

What happened last time

In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Mahoba constituency had 10 candidates for assembly seat contention. Mahoba was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Rakesh Kumar Goswami won the election by upstaging Samajwadi Party's Siddh Gopal Sahu by a margin of 31,387 votes.

96.2% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Rakesh Kumar Goswami grabbed a total of 88,291 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Siddh Gopal Sahu got 56,904 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Arimardan Singh bagged 41,915 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 45.4%, 29.2% and 21.5% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Rajnarain Alias Rajju beat Samajwadi Party's Siddhgopal Sahu by 354 votes.
