Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Anup Kumar Mondal grabbed 12,724 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 46.9%, 43.6% and 6.8% respectively.
In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, All India Trinamool Congress's Kallol Khan beat Communist Party Of India (MARXIST)'s Gayatri Sardar by 16,474 votes.
