Janhvi Kapoor looked stunning in a violet gown at the 68th Filmfare Awards, which took place in Mumbai. The actor also performed on stage and had to undergo a costume change in the process. Posting several pictures on Instagram, the actor shared that the zip of her outfits ripped twice during the night. Janhvi, who is quite active on social media, shared a bunch of pictures from behind the scenes on her Instagram, and revealed that all didn't go as smooth as planned. She shared that the zip of her outfits got ripped twice. She wrote in the caption, “When the zip of your gown rips 5 minutes before the red carpet, and 12 minutes before you have to perform on stage.” In one of the pictures, she can be seen seated inside her car while a tailor was busy stitching the hemline of her gown at the back. Another picture showed the Roohi actor sitting on the side steps of the Filmfare stage just before her on-stage performance.
Janhvi was nominated at this year's Filmfare Awards in the Best Actor (Female) category for her performance in Mili. Alia Bhatt won the award instead, for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi. This marks Janhvi's second nomination in the category after 2020's Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.

Janhvi will next be seen as a cricketer in Mr and Mrs Mahi. The film will have her uniting with her Roohi co-star Rajkummar Rao. She also has Nitesh Tiwari's Bawaal opposite Varun Dhawan in the pipeline this year.
Meanwhile, she also recently confirmed her Telugu debut opposite Jr NTR, tentatively titled NTR 30. The film will be directed by Janatha Garage director Koratala Siva. She shared the film poster on her birthday and captioned it, “It is finally happening. Can't wait to set sail with my favourite @jrntr #NTR30.”
