Actor Karan Kundrra has revealed remarks that 'went out of hand' after people started using his name in place of businessman Raj Kundra 'in reports related to the pornography racket'. He also recalled incidents where people asked him about 'porn case against him'. Recently, Raj was arrested in an alleged connection with a pornography case.
Speaking to a leading daily, Karan Kundrra said, "I went for a trek recently. The cops from the city got to know that a celebrity had come and they wanted to meet me. The tour guide told them about me and said the guy is Karan Kundrra. They immediately mistook me for the other Kundra and said, ‘Achha achha jinka abhi porn ka case ho gaya (The person who has a porn case against him)’. I told them that wasn’t me...the guy who parks my car at the gym I go to, asked me, ‘Arre sir, kya problem hui aapke saath? Aapka bahut naam aa raha hai (What problem are you facing? Your name is cropping up). Are you fine?'"
He added, "People write ‘Karan Kundra’ for Raj Kundra and even use my name to refer to him as Shilpa Shetty’s husband. But it went out of hand when they started using my name and picture in reports related to the pornography racket...Till now the confusion was only limited to social media with people commenting on my posts writing, ‘Porn kyun banaata hai (Why do you make porn)?’ I didn’t mind it in the beginning, but it became serious when people started commenting on it," he added.

{{/usCountry}}Karan Kundrra also spoke on having to clarify to his family and friends after he woke up to a tweet saying that he was arrested 'for creating pornographic content'. He told his well-wishers that 'such reports or messages' had 'nothing to do with me'.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Karan had said, “Initially, it was quite amusing, but later on I was quite ticked off by it. That was quite funny and frustrating at the same time. So many people have read it. I have a screenshot of that article with me. Now, if anyone reads that in a small town, and doesn’t read the updated news, they’d think it’s me for the rest of their lives.”

Karan has starred in several serials such as Dil Hi Toh Hai, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum, Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai, among others. He has also participated in the dance reality show, Zara Nachke Dikha in 2010 and hosted Gumrah. He made his acting debut with Kitani Mohabbat Hai in 2008.
