Pierre 'P' Thomas, co-founder of Quality Control Music, is reportedly in the ICU at a Las Vegas hospital after suffering a heart attack. According to TMZ, his family is by his side as doctors care for him and determine the next steps.
Quality Control Music issues statement

In a statement shared on Instagram, Quality Control Music confirmed that Thomas “is alive and currently receiving medical care."
The label added, "We ask that everyone keep P and his family in their thoughts and prayers and respectfully give them the privacy and space they need during this time. We deeply appreciate everyone’s concern, support, prayers, and loving energy right now."
Who is Pierre 'P' Thomas?
Pierre “P” Thomas is one of the key figures in Atlanta’s modern hip-hop scene. He co-founded Quality Control Music with Kevin “Coach K” Lee in 2013 and helped turn the label into a major force in the music industry.
Thomas played a key role in the careers of artists including Migos, Lil Baby and City Girls.
In 2023, Quality Control Music was acquired by HYBE America, then led by Scooter Braun. The deal, which was reportedly worth about $300 million in cash and stock, was later detailed in financial disclosures reported by The New York Times. Braun stepped down as HYBE America CEO in July 2025.

He said, "In 2023, it’s different from when we started in 2013 because now, A&R is really heavily watching the stats. Ten years ago, you could name the rappers that was out. Ten years later, 2023, I don’t know if I’m wrong when I say this, but I think every Friday at the turn of a store, the DSPs, it’s something like 200,000, 300,000 songs come out. It’s a lot. So, you gotta be able to really strategize to cut through the noise."
