The popular Guns N' Roses number, November rain may just come true for Mumbai-Pune and other parts of Maharashtra. Heavy unseasonal rain has caught the state unawares and as for the entertainment industry, it has led to shoots being rescheduled but there are also those who are enjoying the extended monsoon, as a relief from the heat.
'Some outdoor shoots got pushed because of the weather'

Anjini Dhawan: A couple of outdoor shoots got pushed because of the weather. But in Mumbai, you just learn to adapt — grab an umbrella and carry on! I love the rains but only when I’m indoors. There’s something really comforting about the sound of rain while you’re sipping coffee and watching a film. But when you have to step out for work or shoots, it can get a bit chaotic. So I’d say I enjoy the monsoon in moderation. Always carry an umbrella and wear waterproof shoes. It's non-negotiable! I also avoid waterlogged areas and keep a backup outfit handy.
'We can clearly see the impact of climate change'
Shubhangi Atre: We can clearly see the impact of climate change. It’s happening very fast. Earlier, everything used to follow a pattern, certain months for rain, certain months for cold, and certain months for summer. But now everything has become chaotic.I love rain, I love the monsoon, but not in this month. I feel every season has its own importance. Our crops depend on these natural cycles. Since I come from a farming background, I know how much we wait for the right weather when it will rain, or when the sun will come out. If it rains too much, then trees get fungus, and then we wait for sunlight again. So yes, this climate change is very dangerous. I think it’s a very alarming situation, and we all need to think seriously about it.But yes, shootings are going on. We are all going to work. Traffic jams have become a part of life now, so there’s no real solution to that.
'Outdoor shoots become tricky when it suddenly starts pouring'
Sumbul Touqeer: The schedule has been shuffled a few times because of the weather. Outdoor shoots become tricky when it suddenly starts pouring. Our team is quite used to it though we always have backup plans ready. Honestly, I love the rains they bring such a peaceful and cozy vibe. But this time, since it’s raining so late, it feels a bit strange. I enjoy watching the rain from home but when you have to step out for work, the traffic and waterlogging can definitely test your patience. My favourite part is how the city looks after it rains everything feels fresh and alive. The least favourite part has to be the traffic jams and the unpredictable potholes. They really make travelling tough.
'Mumbai’s mood is famously fickle during this time'

'Mumbai’s mood is famously fickle during this time'
{{/usCountry}}Ssudeep Sahir: When I first moved here from Delhi, the intensity was a bit overwhelming. We just didn't have rains like this back home! But over time, my perspective completely flipped. Now, the sound of rain is more comforting than chaotic. That said, I’ve become a realist about it. The ideal scenario is definitely being on a holiday when it’s pouring heavily, that way you can just cozy up and enjoy the spectacle without a care. Because let's be honest, the legendary Mumbai traffic can get truly crazy, and that part I can certainly do without! Always, keep a compact umbrella in your car or bag. The weather here can change in an instant. Dont underestimate a sudden downpour, even if the sky looked clear half an hour ago. Mumbai’s mood is famously fickle during this time!
