At the pre-release event of Vishwanath & Sons, a fan asked Suriya, “If there’s to be peace at home, what’s the first rule a husband must follow?” He laughed and put a finger on his mouth to indicate silence. He then said, “Stay silent. Only listen. Don’t talk.”

When asked by another fan what he believes is the secret to a successful relationship, he said, “I’ve told this before. Equal to love, we have to give mutual respect to each other. I think that’s really important. And it should be everlasting, but a lifelong relationship, not just once.”

He also spoke about the sacrifices women make in marriages, adding that men must learn to support their partners. “Stand by them, love them, give them the respect they deserve,” he said.

About Vishwanath & Sons

Vishwanath & Sons is directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Sai Soujanya, and Yalamanchili Gopala Krishna. It stars Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles along with Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon and more. The film will be released in theatres in Tamil and Telugu on August 14.

Talking to fans at the pre-release event, Suriya said, “You called Sivakumar and two sons (Suriya and Karthi) the adopted sons of Telugu states. You’ve given so much love to Surya S/o Krishnan (2008). And now Vishwanath & Sons, I hope it receives the same love. I really, really want all your love and support. Thank you so much for this love.”

Vishwanath & Sons’ trailer reveals that it's the story of Sanjay Vishwanath (Suriya), an international pistol shooter navigating changes in his life and career in his 40s. His life takes a dramatic turn when a baby in his care needs a bone-marrow transplant. Enters Maddy (Mamitha), a girl more than half his age who falls for him.
