Fabrics of India, interpreted for world
Designers have given Indian fabrics a western touch to compete in the overseas market.
Clever usage of Indian fabrics with a western interpretation has earned some Indian designers a strong foothold overseas. While getting the pulse of the market, understanding prevailing trends, following forecasts and adhering delivery schedules with quality products have always been key elements for successful exports, textiles have been one of the focal points of western buyers while looking at Indian designer creations.

Some leading names in the designer wear industry presented their lines at the Tex Styles India – Global Fashions on the Ramp, recently in Delhi.
SABYASACHI MUKHERJEE: Mukherjee showcased his Frog Princess collection: “It’s a collection of stained and printed skirts, dresses and jackets in brocades, silks and crepes,” he says.
