In Pics: Blooming florals and art inspiration on Varun Bahl’s India Couture Week runway

Floral lehengas and vintage art inspired saris by designer Varun Bahl made it to the runway at India Couture week 2017, on Friday evening.

Day Five (Friday) at the ongoing India Couture Week 2017, organised by Fashion Design Council of India with associate partner Hindustan Times, ended with designer Varun Bahl showcasing his Dream Nouveau collection that was inspired from the Art Noveau period. There were lehengas and saris featuring works of Czech painter Alphonse Mucha’s bohemian influence and neo-classical motifs.

Bahl’s menswear collection could be the perfect pick for grooms, with exquisite stoles teamed with floral Nehru jackets and sleek kurta pyajamas to choose from.
