Designer duo Shane and Falguni Peacock showed their Autumn/Winter line recently. This is their fourth time at the London Fashion Week and the pair has already bagged truckloads of orders.

Designer duo Shane and Falguni Peacock showed their Autumn/Winter line recently. This is their fourth time at the London Fashion Week and the pair has already bagged truckloads of orders for their collection.

The line, inspired by the 1980s, interspersed with textures and colour blocking, is already being retailed at Harvey Nichols and Selfridges at London and some stores in Paris. But they will be available in Mumbai only in September.

Four seasons down the line, Falguni and Shane are happy that they’ve made their mark as a consistent designer duo, on the international design scene. “We’ve even enrolled with an agency in London and got a representative there,” says Falguni.

The pair is presently creating a line for the upcoming IPL shows and delivering goods to buyers who have placed orders from London and Paris. “Buyers who are familiar with our work still come to us, so we didn’t feel the need to push ourselves to make another line for any fashion week this season,” she says.

Falguni is quick to add that two factors about the fashion scene in India upset her — the split in the industry and politics have not resulted in more buyers flocking the venues, and the fashion critics panning celebrities who dare to portray new trends.
