Designer duo Rohit Gandhi+ Rahul Khanna concluded the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week S/S’12 on a glamourous note with metallic tones and sheer clothing dominating the runway.
The collection comprised swimsuits, skirts, jackets, dresses, jumpsuits, shorts, coats for the fairer sex and kurtas, pants, suits, shirts, waistcoats for men. The colour palette consisted of grey, white, black, red and metallic shades like copper and silver. Sheer silk yarns, voiles, mesh, organzas and tulles were used.
The Theatre of Illusions collection presented see-through surfaces combined with opaque ones. The highlight of the formal collection was shimmery cocktail dresses.
Designer duo on the collection: "It was about illusions and transparency. Lots of blacks, whites and metallics were used. You can see a lot of sheer and layering. And that’s what is going to be the flavour of the next season. Also, big flair pants are the next big trend. We don’t make clothes just for the ramp. What you see on the ramp is wearable. Price range is between Rs 7,000 to 20,000 and may be a little more for some garments."
The five-day long event concluded on a good note!
