Fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee is all set to showcase at the grand finale of the Autumn Winter 2011 edition of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW), to be held from April 6-10 in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan.

Kolkata based Mukherjee, who participated in Delhi’s couture week last year after a long hiatus, said, “The organisers had been in talks with me for a long time, but my commitments for costume designing in films kept me very busy. This year, I decided to take a break from films and I’m really glad that I shall be the grand finale designer for the WIFW this year. I’m also showing at the Lakme fashion week in Mumbai in March.”

The Capital’s fashion fraternity is excited at the choice. “Sabyasachi is the hottest designer this season. I’m really looking forward to his prêt line,” says makeup guru, Ambika Pillai. “It’s great that Sabyasachi has been chosen as the finale designer. I’ve seen his prêt line at Selfridges in London and his work is amazing,” says designer Reynu Taandon.
