TheMojaClub.in crowd-sources quirky sock designs and sends you a surprise pair each month.

Avocados. Van Gogh paintings. Piano keys. Lego blocks. Mumbai-based company The Moja Club wants to make you pull up your socks, over and over.

You can banish those boring, solid coloured pairs and sign up to the curated service, which will send you a surprise pair of socks each month.

The Moja Club’s designs are all crowd-sourced, and feature works from designers across the world, such as Belgium and South Africa; they don’t have Indian designers on board as yet. Their subscription plans are of two kinds — pay monthly or pay up front for three months, six months or a year, at Rs 399 per month. Each box contains one pair, and you can’t choose a design — what you get is a surprise.

“I was initially unsure about subscribing to socks, but now I’m a fan of their packaging and their quality,” says Arunima Sinha, 34, a Gurgaon-based journalist who loved a pair she received with avocados on it. She now plans on gifting a subscription to a friend.

Saha says he receives a lot of gifting orders. Yash Jain, 21, an event manager in Ahmedabad, gifted his brother a six-month subscription to get him to wear fun socks. An avid collector himself — he has 50 pairs — Jain has a three-month subscription with The Moja Club. “I attend a lot of events for work, so I like brightening up my look with a funky pair of socks. I like the bold colours and innovative designs of the socks,” he says.

The Moja Club’s socks are made with 80% combed cotton and elastane, and one size fits all. They come in a heat-sealed packet, making it look like foodstuff. They will be launching ankle socks in July.
