Devender Singh, chairman and managing director, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) said sub divisional officers (SDOs) and junior engineers (JEs) of each sub division will hold camps in their respective areas, where consumption is exceeding the sanctioned load limit.

The officials will provide the residents all facilities for declaration of unauthorised extension of load, including Application and Agreement (A&A) forms. They will also motivate and persuade the consumers to declare their power consumption and get benefits. The scheme to get the load regularised is only up till June 30.

Singh said that the state has sufficient power to meet the requirement of the consumers. “If there is any interruption in the supply during the scheduled hours, it is mainly due to overloading. This problem can be tackled by recording the load as the discoms will augment capacity if the system has more than 70 per cent load on record.”

Devender Singh said that a very simple procedure has been laid for declaring the extended load under the VDS. The domestic, non-domestic and agriculture consumers may declare the extended load by submitting an “Application and Agreement” (A&A) form along with consumption security.
