Gurgaon: Envoys play golf to raise funds for treatment of kids

The chief executive officers, top executives of several companies, and ambassadors of three countries played golf at the Golden Greens Golf Club at Sakatpur village near Sector 79 on Sunday to raise funds for medical treatment of underprivileged children.

More than 70 top executives of various companies attended the charity golf tournament.

Dato Paduka Sidek Ali, ambassador of Brunei to India, Toh Sinh Thanh, Vietnam’s ambassador to India, Nor’azam Mohammad Idrus, Malaysia’s acting high commissioner to India, and Col Dr Shyam, Malaysian defence advisor in India hit some perfect shots during the tournament.

The event titled Putting Smiles was created by E3 Integrated, an event management agency, in association with Genesis Foundation, an NGO working for medical treatment of underprivileged children.

After a day-long engagement on the green grass, a charity auction was held in the evening to raise funds. Montegrappa Pens and BMW Mountain Bikes were some of the articles auctioned for the cause.The funds accrued from the event will be utilised by Genesis to provide financial support for medical intervention for the critically ill underprivileged children, Nanni Singh of Genesis said.

Tushar Maheshwari, managing director of E3, said every child has a right to have a better chance to live and the idea of hosting the charity golf tournament was to brighten the future of such children.
