Police said they recovered ₹15 lakh cash in denominations of ₹1,000 from a Gurgaon resident.

The accused, Pramod Gupta of Subhash Nagar was arrested with the cash in the scrapped currency notes from New Colony, assistant sub-inspector Umesh, a police spokesperson, said

He said a team of anti-snatching staff of Palam Vihar led by sub-inspector Sandeep Kumar nabbed the man with the cash near Prem Mandir, New Colony, on Monday evening.
“On questioning, he said that the money is to be paid to a property dealer who has promised him 30% commission,” ASI Umesh said.
