Emma Watson in talks to star in Marilyn film

Emma Watson is all set to say goodbye to Hermione Granger Harry Potter. She is in talks to play a role in 'My Week With Marilyn opposite Kenneth Branagh and Michelle Williams.

Emma Watson is all set to say goodbye to Hermione Granger Harry Potter. She is in talks to play a role in 'My Week With Marilyn opposite Kenneth Branagh and Michelle Williams.

If Watson gets the role, it will be her first movie post successfult Harry Potter franchise.

The 20-year-old will play a wardrobe assistant named Lucy in the movie based on the memoirs of Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne), who worked as Laurence Olivier's assistant on the film The Prince And The Showgirl in 1956. The movie also starred Marilyn Monroe who Colin became obsessed with, Contactmusic reported.

According to his book The Prince, The Showgirl And Me, Colin and Lucy enjoyed a few dates during filming. Sources believe Emma, currently studying at Brown University in America, can shoot the scenes for her small part in a few days, limiting her time away from her studies.

Simon Curtis will direct the film which is being produced by David Parfitt and the Weinstein Company. It will begin shooting at Pinewood Studios in the UK on October 4.
