Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice early public reviews are in and fanboys/fangirls can heave a sigh of relief: The film is not just good, it is great. You know how it could have been even better, if it was Batman v Superman v Joker v Riddler.

Director Zack Snyder recently revealed that there were two characters who were discussed a lot but never made to the film: Joker and Riddler. “The Joker and the Riddler both came close to being in this movie. We talked about the possibility of putting them in. Chris Terrio (screenwriter) and I talked about it a lot and felt that their mythological presence is felt in the movie and that’s cool, but I didn’t want to get my eye too far off the ball because I needed to spend the time, frankly, with Batman and Superman to understand the conflict,” Snyder revealed about his rare show of self control.
However, both Joker and Riddler are referenced in the story. While Ben Affleck’s Batman talks about “freaks dressed as clowns” in one of the trailers, there are walls covered with question graffiti in another scene.
