Kurt Russell to play Chris Pratt’s dad in Guardians of the Galaxy 2?

Kurt Russell is in negotiations to join Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 as Peter Quill’s dad. The James Gunn movie will star Chris Pratt as Quill and will explore the father-son relationship hinted in the first film.

The Hateful Eight star Kurt Russell is in negotiations to play Chris Pratt’s father in Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

Kurt Russell might play Chris Pratt’s dad.

Their was a mention about Star Lord’s father in the first movie and the relationship will be a focal point in the new picture.

According to the sources the discussions are at the early stages and the actor has not yet read the script. However, both Marvel and director James Gunn as well as Russell are more than willing to work together. Gunn is back as the director and writer for the sequel of 2014 hit.

The cast of the film including Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and voice stars Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel are returning as well. The film is scheduled for May 5, 2017 release.
