Bollywood’s funny man, actor Rajpal Yadav will soon make his international debut in the film, Bhopal — A Prayer For Rain. The film also stars Hollywood actors Martin Sheen, Kal Penn and Mischa Barton and is based on the Bhopal gas tragedy of 1984.

Rajpal plays the lead protagonist, a rickshaw puller who gets a menial job at the Union Carbide factory. While working there, he witnesses loopholes in safety procedures, but as a loyal employer, keeps silent. On the fateful night of the gas leak, he gets himself into a spot when bosses refuse to take responsibility. The 38-year-old actor’s other films include Hungama, Chup Chup Ke, Garam Masala, Phir Hera Pheri and Dhol.
